One has to think of the New Deal as an awakening. And IMO what caused this awakening was cultural evolution as people became better educated and more aware and smarter and with a new dominate variable being public education around the world and starting in the 30's here.

In a nutshell we were transitioning from concrete thinkers to abstract thinkers. What FDR did was an exercise in very profound abstract thinking----for that time period.

What FDR did was revolutionary and in retrospect people rate FDR at the top of the presidents for the last 100 years.

They will see the progressive movement today in the same light.

One should ask how come the richest country in the world does not even have the basic social services of most modern democracies like universal health care, affordable education and care for our indigent folks, like the 500,000 homeless?

When three families have as much wealth as the bottom 150 million shouldn't that be a flashing red light?

Social scientists know what to do, they just need support from the government; and that is what progressives are shooting for.

I have said a zillion times we need free pre school for our children and now because of progressives most dems running have that as a priority.

About fucking time too-lol!
