I would never advise people to get in or out of a stock. What you do with your money is your own business. Unlike THE GURU! or others, I'm not trying to get you to buy my product or go my way. I'm just giving people some facts to think about -- and then, only if they choose to think. My posts are self-explanatory. There's no harm in giving public investors an opportunity to learn what the insiders already know about themselves and their deals. Obviously, if you want to let THE GURU! b.s. and bully his way through this thread, that's entirely up to you. As ever, there's entertainment value. I guess if there's any lesson to be gleaned from the lack of factual data that FRANK provides about those stocks he touts, it's that it provides further confirmation of the principle that most penny stocks move because of reasons that have little or nothing to do with actual fundamentals. THE GURU! over the short term has picked stocks that have gone up in price, not because he has any special knowledge about mining, oil and gas etc., but because he is working in tandem with promoters who are playing the game as it's been played for decades in the Canadian junior markets. (If you check out misc.invest.canada for THE GURU's posts back to March 1996 you'll see he also has touted some deals that the promoters have yet to crank up.) And as any veteran watcher of the junior markets can tell you, there is an inevitability to such plays to equal the physical law of gravity. I enjoy reading hype, a lot of it is quite hilarious. What's not funny is bullying and bull-shitting -- two things that THE GURU! has done on this group. We're all entitled to our opinions in life. Unfortunately, some, like THE GURU!, try to gang up on those who express opinions that aren't to their liking -- or get in the way of their sales pitch. Christ, if he's another George Chelekis, he's likely getting paid to tout penny stocks for some unidentified promoters and he can be self-righteous!!!!???? Don't you think SI should be a forum for more civil and intelligent discourse then this pearl from THE GURU: "Let's have some pitty (sic) on him, he can't watch Barney all day!! After a diaper change his mommy lets him surf a little!!" Remember, this is about a poster he called the "village idiot" simply because he had the temerity to question THE GURU's hype about the billionaire backed promoter etc. No matter what profits or losses are to made following a tout's recommendations, you're letting him off too easy by not making him deliver on previous claims. And the idea that there is a significant short position in Chandeleur Bay is preposterous to anyone with a working knowledge of the VSE market. It's an un-marginable, less than a buck, stock. And even, in the unlikely event that anyone is so crazy as to actually be short this stock, they are nowhere near the problem that the company and THE GURU! would try and make people believe. The conjuring up of the great short menace is a trick almost as old as the penny stock market itself. It usually serves only to help the insiders keep their flock under control for a further fleecing. As long as people are preoccupied with phantom short-sellers they have little time to consider what's really going on with any company itself. Anyway, I appreciate that different people want to know different things about the market. That's why we're all here. To learn.
