Re <<newly minted soldiers already being prepped for deployment in large numbers>>
(1) Excellent. We are getting into the spirit of things :0)
I trust these troops were not informed of the nature of cross-firing machine-gun nests, supported by mortar and heavier artillery, undermined by mine fields, and and and
(2) FYI I closed out the ALGN puts March 20th strike 130, at slight profit. The issue was less about taking profit and more about trimming in line w/ suspected if not perceived macro.
(3) I also closed out the shorted naked March 20th strike 130, at large profit
(4) now I intend to focus on the short side of TSLA
(5) Besides above I only have a basic kernel of core gold miners holding (DRD, SBSW, RGLD) and am still missing the usual GDX, GDXJ, KL, FNV, PAAS, etc etc etc, and I am devoid of GLD. The actual physical pile is eternal so does not count for management purpose. Physical does not require management.
(6) As to what if anything to do on TSLA short, do not know, am not religious about it, and shall go with the flow. Shall try to do in March that which was done in February, for win-win.
Team USA and every other team shall have to try to bail out the key companies from the flu. However, the issue is final demand - if folks are not working, therefore putting off buying cars, then would not buy a Ford, therefore the supplier network starves. Bailing out the daisy must involve giving cash to folks going on vacation. Democracy would entail some sort of pervasive bailout, but one without benefiting shareholders, could be argued.
Let them argue. |
