Patrick, Gabriel, Jim
The original report, Jan 97, shows the following data:
for US sales (1996 vice 1995.)

Rank Vendor Units 96 % total Units 95 % total % Increase (units)
1 CPQ 3,470 13.1 1,663 11.5 30%
4 DELL 1,790 6.7 1,130 4.9 58%
on 25,577K total units.

Therefore, *assuming the same basis for this report,*
and using the new data, I extrapolate to get (1997):
1 CPQ 4,870 16. 3,470 13.1 40%
2 DELL 2,861 9.4 1,790 6.7 59.8%
on 30,436K total units

(Total US 1997 units: 1.19 * 25,577 = 30,436.63K)
(Total CPQ US 1997 units: .16 * 30,436.63 = 4869.86K)
(Total DELL US 1997 units: .094 * 30,435.63 = 2861.04K)
