Kent, A lot of the rider's are here this week testing for the new season at Phillip Is Raceway. Doohan is complaining that the new reg's have slowed down the bike considerable, and he is totally bored with the current configuration [saying it's like riding a roadbike]and he and crew are trying hard to find some additional legal power. I think that Ozzy rider was -Anthony Gobert- who is this year riding for a Pro Team in the states after he got sacked by Suzuki G.P. Japan during last year's 500cc Cahampionships. I hear his testing at Daytona was right on record pace from the start of the test week. His opportunity for a return to World Superbikes was not on the cards this year due to all ride's being secured and i guess he'll have to prove himself by winner the U.S. Championships to get a W.S.B ride in 99' ? Maybe you can update me when you hear about his current standings over there ?? Sure should be entertaining viewing. I think they run under AMA Superbikes ?? Right ??
