Yeah, I thought it was good to. Its pretty clear that they view the financial side as clear sailing now, increasing margins, the start of lots of cash rolling in, and they kept stating taking marketshare (numerous times!) coupled with repeated acknowledgements that they are underrepresented in certain market segments like notebooks, which they think is going to change shortly. TWT of course. I was a bit disappointed that there wasn't much in the way of actual new technical info. No Big Navi, and the Milan and Genoa info was really nothing other than 5nm confirmed for Genoa, which is nice to have confirmed, because late 2022 if they weren't on 5nm it would be awful. They did get asked about why the RDNA2 and CDNA2 were on "advanced nodes" but no details. Punted on that answer. Could they possibly be on TSMC's 6nm?? Also no hints as to whether those are shifting to chiplet designs. If they are large die designs still, I can see them staying back on 7/6nm, as 5nm might not support those large die in late 2021. Of course there was no real timeframe for them given either. I did love the process node compare slide, which shows Intel remaining at a bit of a disadvantage. I suspect that will be true. Unless of course Intel starts using TSMC, which would nicely close that gap!
