Re <<Unthinkable in 2008>>
I suggest we best throw away the map, smash the compass, disable the GPS, and shoot the driver. Take it day by awful day, sweat the nights, and recalibrate every 24 hours. We have never been here before and imagined such.
Re <<Would love to know what the cost of hedging USD currency risk is>>
would not bother, USD fine. Do not be cute, I tell myself. Stay basic. Remain stoic.
Re <<true yield is negative>>
as long as not more negative than the next wastrel currency, no worries.
Re <<I think Big Boys will eventually conclude not so such, pushing crypto and gold to go crazy, especially since Fed is biggest holder of Treasuries at USD 2.5 trillion.>>
I would welcome such a course because it is the best of awful moves.
Re <<if small nature of gold market precludes Big Boy buys, what is there left? US stock market, of course, tangibles, etc.>>
Gold is a market that expands with rising price. Enough gold for everyone, as long as they buy and grin, even if at 5k per troy oz, or 10k or 20k
Re <<Waiting for true once-in-a-lifetime bargains>>
I fear we might not recognise it when we see it. It has been so far a life time.
Re <<Today will be bad, very bad ... step right in>>
stiffen resolve and tighten alertness. Everything should turn out okay :0)
Giddy w/ anticipation.
Red is the new green.
