These segments are put together and vetted by a program staff before going on air. What a joke NBC is
It just dawned on me how this got "vetted."

The geniuses at MSNPC were all focused on a narrative, that billionaires like Bloomberg regularly waste their money on ego trips.

In comes a tweet, and that part about "giving each American $1M" looks way too tempting to drop, at least in the context of "the rich are too rich, think of all the good they could have done with that money."

So they move ahead and get it ready for production, not asking once whether the math checks out. Because who the F cares about math as long as the message gets across?

You even saw Brian "I was there" Williams actively trying not to think about the math when he said, "Don't tell us if you're ahead of us on the math."

Like I said, it's all about the narrative.
