I just spoke to our local shelters (Oakville, Burlington, Hamilton). They claim not to import any dogs.

Anyhow, when we searched for a Shepherd some 6 months ago, there was no shortage in our neck of the woods / within an hour or two driving distance.

Just did another “local” search on Petfinder.

Breed: Any

Size: Large (60 – 100 lbs)

Age: Young

I didn’t count them but there have to be a 100 or more.

PS: I better stop playing around with Petfinder or I’ll end up with another dog before I know it. :-)
