I live in Eugene Oregon and trust me they are everywhere-lol. At the YMCA most of the people are progressives like me. In Alaskan politics my left wing ideas were mainstream as is the case with my friends and clan.
Bernie and Warren's support was with people under 50 and it included all races and genders

I am mainstream with people under 50.

But you'll have to solve a mystery for me then: why don't Democrats all around the whole country vote for Bernie? In fact, my guess is he won't even win the Oregon primary, whenever that is.

The truth is, the number of people that you know is very small. And they aren't representative of very many people around the country. For some reason, you don't seem to get that. You are "mainstream" with very few people. They are the people you hang out with, they are self-selecting. Bloomberg is more mainstream Democratic than you are.

Whatever. It doesn't really matter at the end of the day.
