Doug,
Good call on earnings. I would have been optimistically right if the Asian contagion had not struck. I have discounted the contagion on stocks like Creaf because it makes me buy aggressively and ignore the blip in time that this maturing of Asian banking will take.

The reality is that the company did surprise but only $.02 This is bullish, nonetheless, and represents that we have strong managing that is keeping the company on track. The Walmart game is shelf space and that determines market share. If you look at the sound division of any computer store you see SB cards that is all. If you look at speakers you now see Cambridge as predominent but certainly not exclusive. If you look at DVD you can not see the Encore because they are out of stock as fast as they come in. If you look at Graphics you see chaos and maybe Diamond.

I just built my Workstation and used NT 4.0. What a lesson in standards. Encore will not work under NT 4.0 maybe 5.0. I bought the Graphics Blaster Exxtreme Card and returned it for a Viper by Diamond because of NT incompatability. Bought the AWE 64 SB and had to down load drivers from Web site. The point is that the Win 95 market is ready for DVD and that the NT is weak for these add-ons. My opinion is that Graphics offers Creaf an opportunity to dominate thru price but the quality for them is weak at present. If they rally shortterm it will be because the street believes that they will grow earnings and award a higher P/E due to this growth. They have an incredible opportunity in graphics to leverage their Brand but their next release with Voodoo is critical. The sound market is theirs but the street fears this as a commodity. The DVD is theirs to screw up but the street wants content other than movies which could preferentially be handled by The Phillips of the world thru TV VCR scenario. The content for DVD PC is still murky and the visibility on future sales is murky as well until PC Content is clear. The company benefits now as Geeks adopt the technology but the follow thru is critical. The space on the DVD needs to be utilized to create a different paradigm for information dispersal which is tough for now. When DVD rewritable happens kiss the omegas of the world good bye. Anyway long post but had things on my mind.

DrRisk Thanks for all who posted CC info I really appreciated it.
