That's comparing apples and oranges. 20 years ago UNIX was
not considered a commercial operating system. It was still
in the computer labs at Bell Labs and universities. It
didn't take long to fix any problems as the source was
widely available and many people were working on it and
sharing code.

Compare that to MS now, hyping it as an enterprise OS and
no source code.
