Benton, there are many competitors in the graphene space and the market is tiny. From what I have read, and I could be wrong, the total market is less than US $200 million.
With the ore in storage, ZEN would be lucky to produce 3 tonnes of graphene - I am not aware of any published flowsheet that benchmarks the entire process. At $1 million per tonne, that is only $3 million in revenue. What will it cost to manufacture - flotation, purification, conversion?
What is the vision for future production - a 1,000 tonne bulk tonne permit every year so as to be able to produce 30 tonnes (maybe) of grahene per year? Why would anyone sign a long term offtake agreement when ZEN holds a permit that would only enable the extraction of another 900 tonnes of ore; and ZEN has yet to prove that it can economically manuafacture graphene?
ZEN has not even initiated a PEA for graphene production. Until a PEA is published, this stock is similar to every other penny exploreco, a trading vehicle. There may be some revenue but the company will still need to raise funds on a more or less continuous basis.
Aubrey was absolutely right about one thing. At the PDAC approx 5 years ago, he indicated that Zenyatta was not targeting the graphene market because substantial demand would not materialize for quite some time.
As for comparisons between CCB and ZEN, there are none. Forget about it. CCB is working on plans for production, ZEN is at the PEA stage. |
