CPQ is now buying DEC. It just bought Tandem Computers a short time ago. If the PC business is so great, then why is CPQ spending so heavily to diversify? CPQ is buying huge, troubled companies, and then saying what a bright future CPQ now has in the computerworld. Maybe so. Or maybe, in a year or two, CPQ will report the mergers didn't go as smoothly as they originally envisioned.
