A few big U.S.chip makers have gone to the state dept to try to get the IMF to hold back funds if it appears that the objective of foreign companies which have gotten IMF funds is to dump cheap (chip) products. Korea was mentioned as a major dumper.

Buying cheap/some times defective cheap chip will have a great effect on the quality of US products produced today. There will be a lot of crap sold to the U. S. for a long time, as long as ASIA is in trouble.
