Paul,

Typical Japanese solution. Don't address the problems, try to paper them over. Only will cause worse problems down the road.

So with all the $$$ and Yen being created, where does one hide? My guess is short term risk of inflation is overwhelmed by the asset deflations that are ongoing.

Was last week the beginning of a realization that gold is still "real" money vs. paper? Or just a fake run at $300? A break of that level may make that an interesting question, don't you think?

If gold does come into vogue again it will start to dawn on people how little the US has relative to the size of our economy and money supply. Saw a stat the other day that said we have increased our money supply 25 fold in the last couple of decades and still have only 297 million ozs. of gold.

I'm starting to sound like a gold bug. Quite a switch for me.
