Mayor of KC Mo turned away at polls he's voted at for yrs. GOP plan to win by disenfranchizing Dem voters working. He was black and a Dem, why should he be allowed to vote?

Mayor of Kansas City Quinton Lucas criticized election officials after being turned away from a Missouri Democratic primary polling station on the morning of March 10. According to Lucas, he “wasn’t in the system” despite voting there for 11 years.

Lucas tweeted a video he says he shot prior to being turned away, in which he urges people to vote.

“I made a video this morning about the importance of voting and then got turned away because I wasn’t in the system even though I’ve voted there for 11 years, including for myself four times,” Lucas wrote in the tweet.

He followed up a short time later, tweeting: “It’s really not okay. Talked to the election director this AM and will be following up further. If the mayor can get turned away, think about everyone else … We gotta do better.”
