Ken,

I'd love to help you here, but I can't. I'm NOT a technical person. My primary focus is Y2K "embedded system" impact on infrastructure.

I'd like to keep all discussion on the actual "Embedded System" thread so the experts and technical guys can answer the questions. As you're already seeing, this is a very COMPLEX issue. Please repost your question on the embedded system thread. Roleigh Martin is a good person to ask. Thanks.

FYI - "embedded" is spelled with an "E", not an "i".

Here's my background, from bio that's used for speaking engagements and media:

CHERYL A. KUFTA
Ms. Kufta is acclaimed for her Year 2000 embedded systems & infrastructure research on Silicon Investor, the largest investment discussion community on the web. Her varied background as a corporate manager, business owner, marketing & research specialist, software consultant and private investor brings a unique perspective to this issue.

Ms. Kufta spent several years in a consulting capacity, developing & programming customized software applications for a manufacturer of testing equipment for manufacturing and process control industries.

She was president and founder of a national research firm, and in the early 80's was one of the first women, within the advertising industry, to manage multi-million dollar high-tech accounts.
