I dunno. Rudy Giuliani, a Republican, successfully reduced gun violence substantially in NYC.

Michael Bloomberg, back when he was actually a Republican moderate, continued Giuliani's legacy and was a semi-successful mayor as well.

Bill de Blasio, on the other hand, is bring back gun violence in NYC with a vengeance. And he's doing it with the Democrat equivalent of "thoughts and prayers."

Change my mind.
