I don't know who did this add, whose idea was it, but it did not serve
the purpose a bit.
What is a purpose of any TV commercial:
if the use of the merchandise is known
prove it's better then others in the same field (quality, cost, etc...)
else
answer the question: what is it? (For people who don't know)
answer the question: why I need it? (For both, who knows and who don't)

Iomega's commercial completely failed to answer both questions.
I agree with Joe Kernan from CNBC, at about 8:10am this morning
he in a very sarcastic way asked the other guy if he watched IOM
commercial and what it was about?
With all honesty, I like that company, (not their stock) but what was
that commercial about. I trully believe that most of the people did
not even understand that it's somehow related to the computers
and those who did, did not understand why would they need ZIP.
Man, there are so many ways to show the needness of the ZIP for
the teenagers, programmers, CEO's, salesmen, people browsing
the Internet, students, all kind of people.
It is so easy in ZIP's case, merchandise it SO commerciable, so easy
to convience people that they need ZIP, and none of it was done.
I am really, really upset.
This thread could come up with much better add.
I could come up with much better add.
Almost anyone could come up with the better add.
KE, you need to find another advertising agency.
