Banning flights is a desperate measure you use when you don't have test kits to screen people. Just like shutting down businesses for a month is the desperate measure you turn to when you've lost control of an epidemic. When tests and contact tracing are available and in force, this is all bullshit grandstanding which greatly damages your economy. . . . . . . . . . . As for false praise, being that you've been a contractor, I suspect you're not unacquainted with praising Glorious Leader in order to close a deal and get that dough.
