Routine LOL

I cannot do the gym.. for me utter boredom... it is a JOB!!! I do not like...

I am a retired Software Cowboy.. last consulting/coding I did was in 2012 maybe.. Took awhile to find my good clients (all were good :)) replacements for me.. They were like friends..

Anyway I LOVE DIY and gardening.. and walking in the woods.. or anywhere outside after a big fresh snow.. doggies make it even better... and skiing

Soooo.. First I went back to school to get some landscape/garden creds.. had the knowledge mostly but a paper is always good :)

I have a landscaping biz in Toronto.. essentially April through November.. I ski out of our modest chalet in the Laurentians north of Montréal (Morin Heights) in Winter/Early Spring.. I do not do lots of stone work.. but last season I did a lot of fence repair and but a couple of dog runs :) It's amazing what people ask you 'if you can do' :) God bless my dad for MAKING me handy although at time.. I was not always interested :)

Going through messy D.I.V.O.R.C.E. so took a job to occupy my nights at HD.. drive all sorts of stuff 10 year old boys like :)

Point is I get paid to exercise.. I do not pay to exercise.. Getting jobs done is also a lot better on my psyche :)

Oh and I have a large 8500 approx sq ft garden plot at the University of Toronto Scarborough Campus.. Near where I lived pre divorce...

SO Josh.. MY ADVICE...

is find activities that make you walk and move that you enjoy and look forward to... !! They are not jobs then in the 'I don not want to do it sense' ..

For me the HD and gardening plus skiing combo exercise pretty much all my body.. lower and upper..

Lowers cholesterol, blood pressure, build muscle mass.. (Yes at our ages.. our a$$ seems to have evaporated almost overnight LOL.. (Poor Hank Hill LOL) like age related nearsightedness arriving in a flash... ).. AND STRENGTHENS your bones...

if like me you can get paid to exercise.. even better .. the social interaction is a big bonus IMVHO..

Best

Bernie
