26 years of being on military installations and having to go downtown to civilian hospitals or fly to Denver, San Antonio etc to get surgery because on base resources weren't available. Believe what you want but there is only a handful of military hospitals that have facilities anywhere close to your local civilian hospital. The military healthcare system has been gutted since the 90s.
