Worswick,

I agree, investing in Korea and Asia has a lot of risk. IMHO risk is relative and it is much less now than any time during the last three years. If one waits for clear visibility, it will be too late to make real money.

On MAKOX I have been buying it since first week of Jan. It's very volatile and moved from 2.05 to 2.55. I expect it to report NAV of over 2.68 at tonight's close. It's very hard to predict what will happen in the next three months but longer term I think Korea has the best chance of full recovery by 2000. Other markets in Asia including Japan have lot more risk. There is also no rush to investing in Korea. Asian market will also get hit when US market declines this year and we may have a retest of the low's

Best wishes.

Jyoti.
