A report back from the Vancouver Conference:
Direct quotes from an attendee:

"The Diamonds Focus will be this afternoon and John Auston will be a surprise speaker.

LCR, PMI and MMI had booths as did NCS, MPV and Ashton.

MEO, RDW, MMU, TYR, PUG et al were not there.

Ashton's booth had minerologists (sp??) that did a really good job explaining everything.

They even had a split core from BH and you could look at it all you wanted.

500+ attendees

The most popular kiosk was the one serving coffee.

Fagan-------------------------------------------

Fagan spoke about the resource sector and said that nothing is particularly encouraging except, WTC in Mexico and the diamond play in BH.
His exact words [re. the BH play] were: "I'm a big bull...it's the most important thing happening today in terms of explorations."

He also said that, if Ashton succeeds in BH some of the proximal juniors will trade "at a couple hundred dollars."

His picks:

He did not mention Ashton, but I think that we should take this as a given.

He said PUG was premo because of its land position, with NCS second owing to it prudent exploration strategy which preserves existing equity while shifting the burden of exploration to JV partners. To this end, he also mentioned LCR, PMI and MMI.

Kaiser---------------------------------------------

Kaiser read his text seemingly without taking a breath!

He was equally bearish for the market as a whole, saying that he foresees no near-term recovery for commodity prices.

He said that MPV hasn't really been given the sort of attention it deserves because it uses a different counting standard than non-DeBeers associated companies. He also suggested we look at Winspear.

He said that, as of today, PUG represented the best value because of its huge land position.

For quick bucks, he suggested MEO/RDW

With reference to the BH play as a whole, he said that it offered investors "the best upside potential." What is more, it was the only opp. that offered what he called "the rising tide effect." Simply stated: a situation where a nearby player could benefit from ACA's or someone else's success.

He told everyone to expect news from ACA in 2-3 weeks for K6...no mention of K91???
"
[Later Auston made a brief 'dull' presentation:] "He had some neat diagrams showing cross-sections of k14 and the drill angles and distances... They presented a photo of the k14 diamonds."

A big thanks to my gracious info contributer!
