Well, I am curious as to what you think about the teenage smoking law in Texas, Del. Incidentally, how are those teenaged smokers next door to you doin'?

Since nicotine is a powerful drug, people who smoke are drug addicts (I'm saying this in a medical, not a morally judgmental sense, incidentally, and say it as a former smoker). It seems that the United States is moving more towards regulating tobacco in every sense as a drug.

And I guess it is a little puzzling that minors CAN smoke around adult parents or spouses only. That doesn't make much sense to me! The law does seem like a convenient law enforcement tool to hassle gang members and drug dealers. Of course, there is a lot of controversy about this sort of stuff and constitutional rights.
