I doubt it’s possible to “stop” China in any real way. They’re big.

In recent years I’ve traveled a little more. 25 - 30 years ago you could spot a group of mainland Chinese tourists from across the street - from the way they look, dress, act. Good luck doing it now. You see crowds of comfortable, confident, obviously affluent people. From the looks of them you can tell what’s happening out in their country. Ditto about the Russians. Those two groups are a huge presence, they’re part of the landscape, and they’re not going away. Gives you a somewhat different view on sanctions, as well.

Also... no one's pointing a gun at our businesses to buy drugs or anything else from them. The world is our oyster. Find other sources. Make our own.
