Is it the case we are ALL destined to be in the mess Italy is in?

If so, why treat the problem at all?

The SF Bay Area will be on a lock down beginning tomorrow similar to that of Italy so we're getting there... Hopefully we don't get to their mortality rate and I expect we won't and I believe the demographics explain why. Earlier today I read something online showing graphs comparing infection rates of Pennsylvania to Missouri during the Spanish flu pandemic. PA had done nothing to stop it and there was a huge spike but it was all over in a bit over a month. Missouri had the slow ramp like they are now trying to achieve and it took about four months to work through the disease. We should protect those at greatest risk but let it run its course with the remaining population. 90%+ of us normal folks will be able to deal with the disease without much intervention but it'll be over with in a month or so.
