A frightening scenario, but I wonder whether the model took into account the extreme measures we have now deployed? Or just assigned the typical mathematical rates to various events? It does matter, e.g., that major sporting events are cancelled, people are staying home, even shopping patterns have changed and hand wash I g routines have changed.

I think all these things can matter but perhaps not. It is going to be bad news if that is all for naught.
