techstocks.com Thanks cryder for the info on the contact. I hope you get to see the sight of the first launch! Meanwhile, that url is to Qualcomm stream and trouble in the satellite industry. Basically they say that Iridium and Globalstar will be too expensive and unusable in urban canyons. Also that there really is little demand from business users. The few people they interviewed saying they saw no need. Codswallop. Of course there is a need and they obviously haven't had much to do with using cellphones and empty countryside if they see no need. But there is the question of price elasticity - how fast will it fill at what prices? And how will they manage demand when it is full? These are the two big questions to which there seems no answer except a bumbling idea of just very gradually taking on customers at a high price and letting the system expire from old age, greatly underused. You see, there really is a need to get pricing right. So far, nothing in the offing. Just commissar overpriced minutes and underpriced handsets. Don't they have any marketing experts in the company? Readware is good with spreadsheets, Kepler and erlangs [maybe not erlangs actually] but I doubt he has spent much time selling stuff to wet chemistry customers. He sure hasn't come up with anything that looks good on pricing. Maurice One-Track Winn 10 more days to go!!! [Off for golf and more Piha time! What great weather down under.]
