Here is Naomi Klein talking about Coronovirus capitalism. She is of course the author of the great book "Shock Doctrine" that explained how the right wing uses catastrophes to get rid of social programs e.g. using Katrina to supplant pubic schools with private schools. The right wing has been using that right wing nut Milton Friedman's crazy idea that private industry, capitalism, can run a country better than government to replace public institutions, that should stay public institutions, programs like privatizing prisons and schools. And the right wing has been using that tactic for 50 years give money to the rich in tax cuts, and to destroy our social safety net which is in tatters, to transfer trillions of dollars from the middle class and poor to the rich 1%. Today Trump wants a moratorium of social security withholding tax; and of course his real goal is to get rid of, or privatize social security. Something the dirt bag Republicans have been working on for years. Bush tried to privatize social security.
