The SARS Cov2 (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Severe_acute_respiratory_syndrome_coronavirus_2 ) flu epidemic is more a control of the masses by unscrupulous politicians, media that try to make as much money as they can the pharma industry and the sad end a venue of the control of the population by scare tactics, into submission.

As to the market there are two sides with two evolving events.

1. over-leveraged in equities and huge amounts of debt more than in 2008 to forcefully generate growth at all price and

2. a real economic war with contradicting interests between Russia that loses market share , Saudi Arabia and the US, with the EU moving fast to alternative energy resources like hydrogen including China not to the liking of the major hydrocarbon producers mentioned above

3. Related to the shale basin, Russia has the greatest shale deposit in the Bazhenov Formation or Bazhenov Shale is a geological stratum in the West Siberian basin. An estimate by Wood Mackenzie of the Bazhenov Formation puts oil in place at 2 trillion barrels (3.2×1011 cubic metres). In 2013, the Russian oil company Rosneft estimated recoverable reserves of 22 billion barrels (3.5×109 cubic metres) for the formation. en.wikipedia.org

4. In another vein connected to the hydrocarbon wars and corona virus which coverage is of hysterical proportion for the simple reason that it is all a cover up of the intense oil wars and the chances that the Russians will tap into the Bazhenov formation and extract hydrocarbons by "fracking" which in turn will hurt the US "fracking" industry.
