further thought on Italian delimma- perhaps their diet is to acidic and the chinese diet apart from bats<g> is alot of greens and neutral or alkaline perhaps.

why the western world refuses to educate the masses in these areas is beyond me- traditionally trained but have maintained an alkaline diet due to co-morbid genetic lack of and enzyme (hyaluronidase) which causes hyperuricemia aka. poor excretion of uric acid that can cause GOUT attacks-

but I am also aware that cancer cells do not survive/replicate well in an alkaline enviorment nor do most parasites....

I retired 2yrs ago after 30+ yrs in medicine when it became clear there was no real effort to curing folks without using what they told ya and did what they told ya... contrary to what many think, most doctors are not allowed to think beyond what they are taught and must confine themselves to this mantra or be ostracized or worse.

Worse yet, insurance has taken over and the govt has for medicare and the bureaucracy is outlandish to say the least, where the only thing that really matters is cost. not the patients well being- it was sad to see this change and ultimately led to my decision to retire-
