For my aquariums I have a uv light that I use whenever an infection breaks out. It's a sealed canister with sealed uv light inside and water flows around the uv light and gets disinfected.

Usually the lights are replaceable. So you can order one on Amazon or your petshop and modify it to your liking if you want to.
