photos of LA do seem surreal

am wondering when the armed gangs would start to do their thing as usual suspects must

our alarm system sounded by accident upon our arrival home from the safari park, and the armed response showed up w/i about 5 min. not fast enough but better than no response.

as flights get cancelled and airlines pause operations it is looking more and more like we shall not be able to return home in HK until whenever edition.cnn.com . The Mrs asked me what we should do, and I responded, we play it by ear, but we do not head to anywhere except HK, or stay put in Cape Town. So, N America, Europe, anywhere else in Africa / Asia / Latam all out of bounds.

I am told that HK airport is essentially empty. Friend of friend arriving yesterday for outward bound flight was the only passenger at security check. Airplanes are parked nose to tail.

In the meantime distance-learning is getting lonely for the Coconut.

Only bit of good news is that the history achievement standardised test shall only be given on-line, limited to 45 min (instead of 3 hours), on only 3 essay questions. Hooray.
