I believe that China has successfully squelched the virus, via drastic measures... Far more drastic than what we're doing in the 'states. If you shut down everything, halt the spread more or less completely while extant cases recover (and become non-transmitters), you've killed the exponential. Once you've got systematic testing/tracking/quarantine in place, you're in a position to quickly stanch flareups. fpg
