Marker Introduces Comprehensive Line of Snowboard Equipment and Apparel

SALT LAKE CITY, Utah--(BUSINESS WIRE)--January 20, 1998--Marker
International (Nasdaq: MRKR) today announced that it will introduce a
comprehensive line of Snowboards, Interface Step-in Boot and Binding
Systems and Snowboard Apparel under the Marker brand name for
1998/1999.

Marker's snowboard line features three innovative and distinct
construction technologies in its Split, Full and Uni Models. The
collection includes a variety of widths and an extensive range of
lengths to fulfill all riding styles and preferences. During their
annual snowboard test for the 1997/1998 season, riders for Snow
Country Magazine rated the Split snowboard # 1 in its category for
superior performance and innovative design.

Marker's Interface Step-in Boot and Binding system will be available
in five models, the Intense Plus, Explorer, Twister, Travel and Intro
Plus. Marker utilized years of experience in binding research and
development to produce the soft boot, step-in binding Interface
System which offers outstanding performance and fit and provides
superior edge pressure distribution combined with step-in
convenience.

Marker's snowboard apparel line, Marker Boardware, includes a
complete collection of high performance, multi-functional outerwear
featuring Entrant G-II and Sentek waterproof, breathable fabrics, in
addition to pullovers, sweaters and gloves.

Marker Snowboards, Interface Systems and Boardware will be
introduced at the S.I.A. Snow Show in Salt Lake City beginning
January 25, 1998. In the United States, Marker's hardgoods
representatives will sell and service the new snowboard line and
Marker's apparel representatives will sell and service Marker
Boardware. At the March 1998 S.I.A. Show in Las Vegas, Marker's
snowboard line will be presented together with Marker's alpine
binding collection in Booth #4391, and Marker Boardware will be
presented in Marker's apparel Booth #4381, both in the South Hall.

Internationally, Marker's snowboard products will be distributed

commented, "The introduction of Marker branded snowboard products
represents a significant step in our continuing commitment to the
snowboard industry. We look forward to providing riders with
innovative, advanced products and we will strive to be a reliable and
profitable partner with our retail customers."

Marker snowboards will be produced at the Company's snowboard
production facility in Salt Lake City, Utah, which was completed in
late 1996. The new facility houses the Company's state-of-the-art
research and development Snowboard Technology Center and is located
near the Wasatch mountains, which provide excellent on-snow testing
of new products. Developing and producing snowboards in-house
enables Marker to control and protect the development of its

quality.

Marker's new snowboard collection replaces the DNR Technologies
line which was distributed in 1997.
