Shalom -- Good morning, brother! Praise the living God! Knowing Jesus is the best thing that can happen to a person. Isn't it good to know that even when things seem to be going wrong they are going well if one is obeying and trusting God. Suffering is relative. What may seem to be a small problem to some is a big problem to others. Earthly suffering is insignificant compared to eternity. To prove it, God gave His only Son to die in a very humiliating way, surrounded by people who scorned Him and inflicted much pain on Him. Jesus could have been born in our times and thus have died by lethal injection, which seems to be more humane. But God chose to have Him die the way He died so, among other things, we realize that our earthly suffering is insignificant compared to the joy waiting for us in eternity. Even if you have done wrong, if you repent an try your best to serve God, you are in His will, because His will is that we repent and turn from our wicked ways.
