Adds to positions (all just a few shares):
MO DLR DG (On a hiring binge along as with Walmart, AMZN). Not a value stock. Small town retailer that customers depend on (I believe). HCC MAC T (7.4% dividend attracts) AER (Looks like US airlines get a bailout. So maybe this lessor of planes will survive. Otoh, it's diversified internationally and maybe some other countries' airlines with their leased planes will default on loans or go bk, leaving AER unable to find anybody elso for those planes. Had a large position, took losses, now will add back a little.) ETM. Big losses for me on this one. Radio stations; but if no sports like basketball this season, that'd likely mean adverts disappear. Also, with people staying at home, that doesn't encourage advertisers to spend.
New position (small amount) BRX. BofA analyst says among safest and highest-yielding reits (report of Mar 7, which seems like eons ago). grocery-anchored strip malls. 11% div yield.
Looks like for several positions I own or am following and that I am considering buying, that yesterday or day before was the day to make big commitments. Seeing now some 30-40% gains. I'm too cowardly to have made big commitments for anything, even if they looked so juicy, and too late in spotting others. (some preferreds for example)
Roller coaster market. Up and down...and fast. Maybe I'll get one or more chances to test my courage or lack of it, before this thing is over. |
