I would like to clarify some misunderstandings that seem to have cropped up.
First, I will always speak my mind. I miserably flunked public relations in my earlier life. I say exactly what is on my mind, and I will always be straightforward and honest in everything that I post.
Secondly, I will always tell you where I stand on any investment idea that I am discussing. I always have an agenda. In the case of CCSI, it is my largest position in terms of dollars. I firmly believe it is going to become a concept stock, in both the medical, and perhaps the cosmetic and dental industry.
Third, and this seems to be area of most controversy at the present time, the stock split. It is my opinion that it was a good idea, I have never seen it be a bad idea, but a lot of people disagree. The timing of the announcement was unfortunate, I agree. However, I always love to see news , good news, on my investments, whenever it occurs. I deal with a lot of small companies, and it is very hard to get press releases announced when you want to, and many times, if there are not dollar figures attached to a news releases, the Dow Jones will not even pick them up, and then you see them only on the PRNewswire, or the Businesswire, or on Bloomberg News, which a lot of investors don't have access to.
Fourth, I am not a trader, so I don't share a traders objective in the short term, so the last tick is not what governs my life. I have been doing this kind of investing for 33 years, and at no time in my career have I found a stock ,that in my opinion, has the characteristics of CCSI for the long term. I am looking for a significant multiple return on my investment in CCSI, many times the current price. I have been an owner for 24 months, at almost every level. I am currently a buyer, because of more shares outstanding than when I started.
Fifth, the stock has been a trading vehicle for many people for the last 2-3 months, and boredon, the Asian Flu, small caps in general, have all played a role in it's lackluster performance. CCSI's PR lacks something also, but that will be addressed, and succesfully, in my opinion, after the deal.
Sixth, I personally had investors, to whom I had recommended CCSI ,that were under margin call pressure as the stock slipped back to the $11 price. I have never told anyone to meet a margin call, because most times it is good money after bad, but in this instance, I strongly told them to ante up.
Seventh, I was a poster on the SI board, but the flack got to be too much for my thin skin, and my abrasive tongue, so I came over here to express my views. I am not a eleemosynary institution, I am here for the express purpose to get you to buy and hold CCSI for what I consider to be a unique investment opportunity.
Eighth. I am expecting a major agreement with a firm specialzing in the medical distribution area sometime in the next 6-7 weeks. At that time I am expecting that terms of the deal will be announced inorder that we all can have a working model for sales and earnings going forward for the next few years. I believe that this deal will double the current price of CCSI, and that will be the beginning of a long series of deals in various other industires, which I believe to be even bigger that the medical area. But, with the medical deal, CCSI's credibility will be established, and after recieving FDA approval, and after this deal, I am assuming future deals might be a little easier for Wall Street to understand and put a value on.
Ninth, Not much attention has been paid to Fred Frank, Dr. Maisel, Dr. Holzman, Ed Vimond teaming up with CCSI. These people are VERY important to our future, and we are damn lucky to have them on our team. These people are heavyweights, and are not just here for their own edification. they are here to help build a major enterprise.
Tenth, I forsee, down the road to look back and CCSI's major areas of earnings per share contribution to be dental, cosmetic, medical, industrial, pretty much in that order, maybe cosmetic giving dental a run for it's money. Chromogenic science lends itself to huge opportunities. Perhaps, in my opinion only, somewhere down the road, a XYZ drug company licensing the technology from CCSI for various other diseases, and CCSI becoming a licensing money machine in a number of diseases. This is what makes a big stock, not just a one product company but a combination of many pieces, all very profitable.
Eleventh, once this starts to play out, and not too far down the road, we will get analyst coverage, the institutions will build their earnings models, and we will get their sponsorship.
In closing, every portfolio should have a small holding of CCSI, and as the story evolves, everyone has their own level of pain, mine is very high. |
