Send the workers back and support the economy. The virus is most dangerous to only 2% of the population. The elderly and those with already compromised health .

It makes far more sense to allow workers who are not high risk category back. Starting with those not working in close proximity to each other. Like outdoor industries House framers, Road construction, Farming , Logging , sawmills mineral exploration, Diamond drilling, Trucking and delivery services to name just a few. This will support economics somewhat plus take a load off of unemployment funding.

Then continue to isolate the 2% high risk till the virus rescinds. in summer and a vaccine now in the testing stage according to Dr Fauci becomes available to the masses. Plus those who are Covid19 confirmed until they test negative. Makes more sense than crippling the country with everything shut down.

The 2% are reported to be those over 65 or unhealthy. Who for the most part are retired and not contributing to GDP. any way. Plus the Death rate among this group is reported to be only 14% of the 2% in high risk class. That is not a great percentage of the total.

There are some odd exceptions like myself who in my 80s simply love to stay involved in the business. Not that I have to , I simply have always loved working more than being idle. My son has now taken over as CEO I just like being around machinery. I spend a lot of of my time pulling wrenches rebuilding truck or cat engines Transmissions and differentials. Couple of days ago, I helped the tire man change 26 tires on our Kenworth truck and lowbed. It gives me exercise and keeps me healthy.
Rebuilding things within tollerances of 3 to 5 / 1000ths of an inch allows my mind to stay focused and alert. I Believe.

My vision of Retirement is doing what you do Because you want or like to -- NOT Because you have to !
