I always loved these churches, so much history there. Balzac Alberta, a very small town just north of Calgary. Real nice today you could see the mountains. Nice weather for the next 7 days, I think its safe to say spring is finally here, the gophers are out as well.

Car is all fixed, so lots of traveling this year.

How did Balzac get its name?
It was named by William Cornelius Van Horne, then president of the Canadian Pacific Railway, after one of his favourite authors, Honoré de Balzac (1799–1850) a noted French novelist. The post office here was opened on April 1, 1912 under the name "Beddington" and was changed on July 1, 1925.
