Dave,
They weren't able to sell many of the PeakJet product thus the
terrible losses. They obviously need a stronger company to offer
a larger distribution base and sales/marketing muscle. I doubt that
NetMagnet will sell large quantities as a stand alone product but if
it were bundled with some other good utilities it might be able to
sell hundreds of thousands of copies and provide a decent return
on the investment. PeakSoft simply doesn't have the resources,
capital, marketing, distribution, sales force, or international
exposure to make significant inroads into this niche market by
themselves. I'm just hoping they will merge or get bought out
by a more experienced, more financially sound company with the
resources necessary to sell product.
