*When will USA go full Zimbabwe?* The odds do seem stacked. But I have no idea. Back in the days when silicon wafers were just 2 inches in diameter, I used to joke about a plan to upgrade to 12 inch wafers. 2 inch wafers were of course huge increases in the technology from the one inch, and several wafer size increases from one to two inches. It happened, but not until the very end of my career. A USD back in 1912 was worth a lot more then the 2020 USD of course.
