I'm getting a fed refund this year. TT asks me if I want it deposited in my same checking account that I've had refunds deposited to previously. I say yes, and so it -- and I assume any stimulus money I'm entitled to --- will go there too.

I also had a refund deposited last year, and would be happy if the Feds just send my funds to our joint account. But.......something that works for 97% of people is not going to work.

What about couples that divorced last year?

What about people who died last year?

What about people who closed that bank account because they moved, and opened new accounts near their new home?

Etc. etc. etc.

Maybe the feds will just zap out money, but the potential problems of a willy nilly approach are large.
