We are now officially, by edict of the governing authorities and enforced by the army, dictated to stay at home, and only able to go out on the street to get food or medicine.

The helpers are now living in, so that they can clean and shop, in attached but separate apartment to the main house. Whilst the sun continues to shine, winter is on way. Yesterday the wife bought winter clothing for herself and the kids. I always pack for most-weather hiking (internally reflective, and layers) so am good. The kids learned something.

Brought more cash than needed, so am good for several months all-in.

Made sure HK bank understood we are away, and that they must monitor even as must not choke-off the various bank credit cards.

We have food, dry, canned, and fresh.

Internet and cellular all work, and SIMs all topped-up.

Am prepared for most happenings short of zombie apocalypse. It is going to be close.

From the site worldometers.info

Wonder where Japan & India be. It is probably good that Japan Olympics postponed.

Am guessing some important cities shall be paralyzed, and the less expected consequential effects would trouble the global financial / economic gear-works. Thank goodness for computers. Wonder what would happen if spare parts for important infrastructures run dry and cannot be replaced.

Let’s see if Ericsson and Nokia gets hit. Huawei seems okay so far. The countries dependent on only others but only one cellular infrastructure provider may think through the issues going forward, i.e. which nation in best shape to protect supply chains? How much money to expend building out the next generation 5G, another key issue. Perhaps money shall not be a problem as long as manufacturers can deal well w/ hyper inflation.

In addition to above, many of all theories, conjectures, premises, and guesses shall be put to test. There are no atheist during final exam week.

Should the financial markets shut down, the zombies come out.

OTOH, as to just how serious / hype-d the CoVid19 is, I do not believe I know yet. It does seem to enhance / facilitate the serving to many agendas even as it is definitely very infectious.
