Zeev,

Cymer will have excess capacity for some time. I still haven't seen a press release citing the other vendors as the light source for ANY model of DUV stepper. Nikon appears to be the company most anxious to get away from Cymer's onerous hold on the 248nm market, yet they want to go with Komatsu. ASML, Lambda's most natural partner, appears to be going with Cymer(mentioned in press releases). Canon mentions Cymer in their product literature. SVGI is strictly a Cymer customer.

I do recall Nikon was developing a unique stepper interface according to what I read on the thread, perhaps, for the purposes of using the Komatsu laser. But Nikon appears to be losing market share in DUV.

Yeah, it makes sense. IF Cymer's competitors capture huge market share, Cymer's stock doesn't appreciate. But the competitor's lack of success to this point, gives me reason to be encouraged. Cymer has captured more market share than it has lost in this market, so will the tide turn? It is certainly possible, but I'm happy to bet on Cymer.

Cheers,

Bob
