Caxton, If you look closely at the folks in the consortiums, you will notice that they all make GSM equipment. I believe that this requirement automatically excludes Qualcomm.

Not to worry though, I'm sure Nortel, Siemens, Alcatel, Sony and maybe even Motorola are strongly aligned with the Q's interest in this matter. Don't forget that Qualcomm made strategic alliances to spread out the battle. This will ensure that enough folks have an interest to produce a huge success for all (even Nokia and undeserving Ericisson).

A much different game plan than that employed by prior "would-be" world conquerers.
