Could take awhile to get results from the trials since they are double blind

There comes a point during such tests, that it can become so obvious that a treatment works that it becomes immoral to keep the control group untreated.

That happened during trials of a heart attack emergency med. Some were untreated and others treated with the new medication. It became obvious early on that the new medication worked so they stopped the experimentation saying that it was wrong to have the control group remain untreated.

The heart med experience was about 20 years ago.
