Some vaccine developments are currently tested on mice and immunity is observed but will take at least another year before it can be used for public. Compassionate use of Chloroquine Phosphate and Hydroxychloroquine were studied in China and Korea with encouraging result but it DOES NOT change fatality rate, it only helps to reduce hospitality time and reduce virus load and only works for non-severed cases. It failed to reach statistical significance on severed cases. Along with Favipiravir, they are options available before we have better treatments but they are obviously not the solution we are looking for. And do not use it yourself as there are some dangerous adverse effects like QT prolongation.
